Sunglasses

Sunglasses (informally called shades or sunnies) are a form of protective eyewear designed primarily to prevent bright sunlight and high-energy visible light from damaging or discomforting the eyes. They can sometimes also function as a visual aid, as variously termed spectacles or glasses, featuring lenses that are colored, polarized or darkened. The American Optometric Association recommends wearing sunglasses that block ultraviolet radiation (UV) whenever a person is in the sunlight to protect the eyes from UV and blue light, which can cause several serious eye problems.

Frames

The ophthalmic frame is the part of a pair of glasses that is designed to hold the lenses in the proper position. Ophthalmic frames come in a variety of styles, sizes, materials, shapes, and colors. There are three basic frame types: full frame, semi-rimless, and rimless. With unique characteristics, each frame type provides a different look and feel. When a frame fully outlines the lenses, the glasses are considered full frame. Full frames are a good option if you are looking to highlight your eyes.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are ocular optic lenses used on the surface of the eyes, and they can be worn to correct vision, for cosmetic reasons, or for therapeutic reasons. Contact lenses are thin and invisible to others, and there are different types of contact lenses with variable wearing schedules available. There are a series of tests that have to be done before dispensing the suitable contact lenses. Contact lenses conform to the curvature of your eye, providing a wider field of view and causing fewer vision distortions and obstructions than eyeglasses.

Lenses

In recent years, the transition from glass to plastic lenses has revolutionized the way we see. In the past, eyeglass lenses were made of glass. However, in recent years, lenses have transitioned to a durable plastic that is lighter in weight and less prone to breaking, providing a more comfortable experience. There are different types of lenses available, including single vision lenses, Bifocal lenses, Progressive lenses, Polycarbonate and trivex lenses, High-index plastic lenses, Aspheric lenses, Computer lenses, Photochromic lenses, and Polarized sunglasses.
